A fresh week of beautiful weather ahead...

bye, bye summer...

you were a hot one this year!

lots of things coming up...

I need to work on a plan of attack!

Hello busy classroom...

things are falling into place,

but it has been a challenge.

I say that every year according to my hubby,

it's probably true!

Hello lots of craft shows and a wedding...

being asked to do more shows is awesome,

I just wish I had more time to say yes to more shows.

Hubby's cousin is getting married...

bonus for me...

handsome hubby in a tux...

can't wait ;)

Hello speaking at our teacher inservice...

need to fine tune my presentation...

I've given it once before,

but this could be a bigger audience,

gulp!

I hope my kids show the big wigs what they've been learning!

Seriously it is more work to have a sub in your classroom 

than to just be there yourself.

It will all work out, 

it's just not my favorite.

trying to decide if we can do two shows 

back to back weekends.

I am not sure I can have enough product ready.

I need to work hard and efficiently...

I need to make a serious plan!

Hello new week...

a wee bit quieter on the calendar this week!

Thank goodness!

I am so psyched about doing more events!

Hello homeschool...

the boys are loving it, 

but their dad isn't so sure they are working.

Emails of assignments show me things are going well

and attitudes about school work from the big kid are much better!

getting into my groove and holding the kiddos 

seriously accountable.

I am extremely tough at the beginning of the year,

but it saves me a million headaches as the year progresses.

I have a great bunch,

so we should have an amazing year!

I have been blessed with another great group...

the kiddos and I are going to have an amazing year!

I was asked to be a support teacher for a new teacher this year...

Kenny said he knows I would have helped her anyway,

but this way I get to add an official title to my résumé.

thunder, lightning, and pouring rain in August...

next Saturday Amy's Monkeys will be part of a end of summer boutique sale...

so much to do,

but it's going to be great!

Hello homeschool...

the oldest two are doing great at home.

I love that they have the freedom to keep moving forward once they

have a concept mastered.

They are both keeping me on my toes!

Hello Monday {Last Days}

Hello last week of school...

this has been a great year,

even with the challenges and changes.

That being said, I am so glad summer break is almost here!!

Hello graduating sixth grader...

Lukas is finishing up his time at the elementary school.

We will celebrate with him today at an ice cream social.

So proud of all of his hard work this year!

Hello sewing...

I have been finishing projects and making goodies for the shop...

I cannot wait to have time to fill up the website and empty out some of

my scraps with new products.

Summer time is my best time of the year for sewing!!

Hello summer break...
One visit planned...

and a lot of projects around the house will keep me busy!

Hello homeschool...

next fall will be the first year of true homeschool

for the oldest two...

lots of planning to do,

but I cannot wait to see them both return to the love of learning!

state testing begins tomorrow for my boys and my school.

Hello praying everyone stays calm

thrifty decorating is so much fun!

so thankful for warm weather, banister space, and a handy hubby...

an $8 part should have the dryer back to work by the middle of the week.

Hello homemade dishwasher detergent...

$2.38 for about twice as much detergent 

as I have been paying more for each month...

sign me up!

in the 90s this week...

we have had no spring, but warm is better than freezing and rain in my book!

29 school days left...it has gone by so fast!

caught up an passed me in height..

I blame the raw milk and real foods!

he loves helping me make things for the house,

especially when there is little money involved.

I will be doing a tutorial on the organizer, 

since the pin on it lead me no where...

It will be a big week of testing in my classroom...

Hello new bedding...

I have been coveting a bedding set at Target forever...

finally took the plunge and bought it with a birthday gift...

I am in love! 

Beautiful detail steals my heart every time!

My room is so much brighter!

Hello hubby that knows me well...

the new bedding has my wheels turning...

he said he knows where this is leading...

new paint and some fresh toss pillows 

are on the horizon.

Good thing paint is cheap and I know someone that sews!

 

Hello more sister time...

two weekends in a row spending time with my sister...

so needed, especially since we hadn't seen each other since Christmas.  

 We are complete opposites, but we do have a good time together!

Hello birthday week...

how in the world is my nephew going to be one already...

seriously...time take a chill pill...

a monkey face cake is on the agenda...

Hello conference week...

time to meet parents again...

some good news, some not so good, but all necessary.

getting a challenge kiddo transferred into my class...

praying for a big change in behavior 

once he becomes part of my group.
