We had a great 4th of July! I hope everyone else did too!
It has been a busy place around here. I had my usual once a month shopping to do and supplies to get for my new venture. On top of that I had to go to jury duty one day. It was kind of sad, only 26 people showed up for service. Usually when I go the court room is packed, but I guess it was too close to a holiday weekend. I hate going, but I know it's the right thing to do. Unfortunately for the defendant, his day in court had to be moved because of the small turn out of potential jurors. I was sad for him! I know it must be frustrating to have your day in court postponed.
I have also been sewing up a storm! I've been making bags and aprons and baby towels. I am LOVING every minute of it. I'll be posting a peek of my creations later this week. I am hoping by the end of the week I will have quite a few things to add to my Etsy shop. I can't wait!
On top of all that I have I am itching to get my freezer batches of breakfast foods and treats replenished. I am also hoping to get some jams made this week. We'll see how that goes, I'm not sure I'll have enough time for that!
We have about 6 more weeks until school starts, but time is flying by! The boys have been busy savoring their computer and Lego building time and K as been busy painting the furniture for my sewing/craft room. I can't wait to show it off to you all!

ReplyDeleteI love homemade ice cream. What flavor did you make?
ReplyDeleteI try to use a lot of organic foods, too. I finally started vegetable gardening two summers ago because I was tired of paying all the extra money for organic produce. Now I love picking fresh herbs or veggies moments before I cook them. Can't get any fresher than that!
