Blessings in Disguise

We need a larger freezer for our storing all of the food my men like to eat around here, but we have been having a hard time deciding what exactly we want and how much we are willing to pay for more freezer space. This has been going on for a LONG time and every time I come back from Costco my frustration is driven to another level.

Well, I thought I had found a great deal on a freezer we thought was big enough and had the features we had decided were important. I saw the deal online on Monday so on Wednesday we finally had time and headed over to the hardware store to check it out again and get it ordered. Well, let's just day apparently the store ends some sales on Mondays!?! What? Are you kidding!?! I was pretty upset at the news. The store employee was not very knowledgeable, so I was irritated beyond belief. K had gone to get some other things while I was trying to handle our purchase. I hunted K down and he could tell by my face (and probably from the steam coming from my ears) that I was not happy with the situation. I told him about the problem and said forget it I don't want to deal with that employee again. (I am sure it was not the employee's fault, but he did act like I was bothering him.)

Now here comes the blessing in disguise...I decided to go home and look at it again and compare prices everywhere. I don't know why, but I guess I had not read the customer reviews until that day. Not a common practice for me, I usually research a purchase to death! I am so grateful that sale had ended because the freezer has HORRIBLE reviews. People lost everything in their freezers because it quit working and the "alarm" didn't go off! Goodness gracious, I would have been in tears if I lost everything (trust me, it happened to us a couple of years ago). So I guess someone was looking out for us!

Today I am so very grateful we did not get a chance to make that purchase! I was frustrated at the time, but now I am so very happy things didn't work out the way I wanted!

Now head on over to Laura's at Heavenly Homemakers for Gratituesday and see what everyone else is grateful for today!

Until next time,
