Menu Plan for the Week 7-18-10

We had a great visit with my cousin and her girls. I got them started on sewing! It was so cool to see them take off and start creating all kinds of little things from material out of my scrap basket. I knew there was a reason to keep those odd sized remnants!

Our menu changed a bit to accommodate the heat and company last week. I need to get our propane tank refilled, so I can keep our kitchen cool in the evenings. It is hot while I am out there grilling, but it sure beats heating up the house!

I am continuing my quest to build up our freezer stash of breakfast goods. Sunday I made a big batch of biscuits to add to the freezer. This week I am hoping to add more waffles and pancakes. I might even throw in a few batches of cookie dough.

We'll see how things go. Summer break is winding down and I still have many things I would like to accomplish around the house before I head back into the classroom!

Here is what we have planned to eat for this week:

Breakfasts: Cereal, Oatmeal, Biscuits, Muffins, Pancakes, French Toast, Waffles, Fruit, Scones, Scrambled Omelets, Frittata

Lunches: Ham or PB & J Sandwiches, Meat and Crackers, Fruit or Veggies, String Cheese, Hard Boiled Eggs, Granola Bars, Fruit Leather, Homemade Chewy Bars

Dinners:

Sunday-
Leftover Frittata

Monday- Pasta Salad, Garden Salad

Tuesday- Tri Tip, Rice Pilaf, Squash, Salad

Wednesday- Hamburgers, Potato Salad

Thursday- Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad, Garden Salad

Friday- Pizza, Salad, Root Beer, Homemade Ice Cream

  1. Great looking menu! I need to build up our breakfast menu again with the freezer, too. Thanks for the reminder!
