Time

I have been thinking about what to focus my post on for this Gratituesday and it finally dawned on me...time. I am so very lucky to have so much time to spend with my husband and my boys this summer. As a teacher a long vacation is definitely one of the perks of the profession! I am even more blessed to have K home with the boys and me this summer. His work circumstances could be a worry, but were focusing on all the possibilities for our family instead.


We get to just hang out and be together. I don't think in all the years we have been together that we ever had this kind of time together. We aren't rushing around or scheduling something for every minute of our time off. For the first time in a long time, I am relaxing. Anyone who knows me in real life knows that is a feat for me! I am your typical type A personality, born that way and it works for me, but I know my boys (even the big one) are much more laid back personalities. It is so nice to see the world from their perspective for a while.


Having time to cook, bake, create, and make messes with my monkeys is awesome. We have made a lot of food, done some projects, and just been able to be silly together. I am getting to see what wonderful little men they are growing into more everyday. What a wonderful season this is in our lives! So on this Gratituesday I am truly grateful for the time I have to spend with my men during our summer break.
